Making a Difference in Honduras

Just outside of Tela, Honduras – March 2026

In March 2026, Mule Men began a new mission in Honduras with a discovery trip focused on building relationships, understanding the needs of the community, and seeking how we can come alongside the work already being done.

Just outside of Tela, about 35 minutes inland, we connected with a local church in the Peman Village—a community rooted in faith, leadership, and a desire to see the Gospel reach beyond their own village into the surrounding areas.

What began as a first visit has quickly grown into the foundation of a long-term partnership.

The Church & Community

At the heart of this mission is a local church that is not only serving its own people, but actively investing in others. Church leaders in the Peman Village are already training pastors from surrounding communities, creating a ripple effect of discipleship and leadership throughout the region.

This is not about starting something new—it’s about strengthening what God is already doing.

As we spent time with families and leaders, it became clear that this community carries both deep faith and real challenges. Daily life requires resilience, and the local church plays a vital role as a place of hope, stability, and spiritual growth.

What We’re Building Together

Our role is to support, equip, and walk alongside this community in ways that create lasting impact.

Strengthening the Church

There is ongoing construction to make the church building more functional and welcoming. This includes adding basic but essential elements like bathrooms, completing stucco work, and continuing to develop a space where people can gather, learn, and grow in faith.

Expanding Biblical Education

There is a strong desire to grow in both faith and opportunity through language. We are working toward developing or supporting a bilingual learning system that incorporates both English and Spanish, with biblical teaching at its core.

We are also helping source and supply bilingual Bibles so individuals and leaders can study, teach, and disciple more effectively across languages.

Meeting Practical Needs

Some needs are immediate and tangible—like providing a projector that can function in a naturally lit environment, allowing for teaching, training, and gatherings to be more effective.

Other areas, such as water systems and agricultural sustainability, are still being explored. We are learning how to best support efforts that could help families provide for themselves through farming and livestock.

Looking Ahead

This mission is just beginning.

We are committed to building a long-term relationship with the church and community in the Peman Village—returning regularly, listening closely, and responding as needs become clear.

As this work grows, we are also exploring options for housing that will allow Mule Men teams to
stay in the area and serve more consistently.

There is still much to learn, but we are stepping forward in faith, trusting God to guide each next
step.
