Making a Difference in South Africa

Potchefstroom, South Africa – 2026

Mule Men is preparing for a new mission opportunity in Potchefstroom, South Africa, with a discovery trip planned for later in 2026.

This opportunity began through a meaningful connection with Pastor Willem and his church community—an established and growing ministry with a clear vision for impact. Their identity reflects the heart of the work already taking place: a multi-cultural, multi-generational, multi-site, and multiplying church reaching people across their region.

As we prepare to visit, our focus is simple—listen, learn, and discern how we can come alongside what God is already doing.

The Church & Local Impact

The church in Potchefstroom is actively engaged in reaching its community, with a strong presence among young adults, particularly on local college campuses.

Through Pastor Willem’s leadership, there is a clear commitment to discipleship, growth, and raising up the next generation. The work being done is not only about building a church, but about developing leaders who will carry the Gospel into every area of life.

What We’re Building Together

Our role is to support, equip, and walk alongside this community in ways that create lasting impact.

Potential Areas of Partnership

While this trip is focused on discovery, several potential opportunities have already begun to emerge.

Equipping Kingdom-Minded Leaders

There is growing interest in business coaching for young leaders who desire to build businesses rooted in faith and purpose. Supporting these individuals could create long-term impact through sustainable, Kingdom-driven entrepreneurship.

Business Development & Mentorship

Opportunities may also exist to provide guidance in areas like short-term rental and Airbnb-style business development—helping individuals create income streams that support their families and communities while aligning with their faith.

Campus & Young Adult Ministry

With ongoing engagement on college campuses, there is significant potential to support outreach, mentorship, and discipleship efforts among young adults navigating pivotal seasons of life. There is still much to learn, but we are stepping forward in faith, trusting God to guide each next step.

A Season of Discovery

This mission is in its early stages, and our upcoming trip will be centered on building relationships, understanding needs, and seeking clear direction.

We are not arriving with assumptions—we are coming with open hands, ready to serve where we are led.

More information and defined initiatives will come following this visit.

Guided by Scripture

A verse that already reflects the heart of this work is found in Isaiah 58:12: “Some of you will rebuild the deserted ruins of your cities.

Then you will be known as a rebuilder of walls and a restorer of homes.”

This mission carries a vision not only of spiritual growth, but of restoration—of people, communities, and purpose.

Join Us in Prayer

At this stage, the most important way to be involved is through prayer.

* Pray for discernment as we travel and seek direction
* Pray for wisdom in building relationships
* Pray for safety throughout the journey
* Pray for clarity in how we can best support this developing mission

As this mission develops, there will be opportunities to engage more directly. For now, we invite
you to stand with us in prayer as we take these first steps.

Join us as we explore what God is building in South Africa.
